Daddy Longlegs est un groupe américain de rock psychédélique et blues-rock formé à la fin des années 1960, initialement basé à Syracuse (New York), avant de se déplacer vers le Royaume-Uni pour développer sa carrière. Composé notamment de Steve Hayes (batterie), Moogy Klingman (claviers), et Kurt Palomaki (basse), le groupe évolue dans une veine influencée par les sonorités roots américaines (blues, country) et le psychédélisme alors en vogue. Leur premier album éponyme, paru en 1970 sur le label Vertigo, est un bel exemple de rock bariolé et énergique, mêlant riffs acérés, orgue Hammond et atmosphères déjantées. Bien que peu connu du grand public, Daddy Longlegs jouit aujourd’hui d’une reconnaissance culte auprès des amateurs de rock underground des seventies.

Daddy Longlegs was a late-1960s American rock band originally from Syracuse, New York, that relocated to the UK to expand their musical reach. Featuring Steve Hayes on drums, Moogy Klingman on keyboards, and Kurt Palomaki on bass, the band delivered a hybrid of psychedelic rock, blues, and country influences. Their 1970 self-titled debut album, released on the Vertigo label, blends gritty guitar riffs, swirling Hammond organ, and quirky arrangements. Though the group never gained major commercial success, Daddy Longlegs has become a cult favorite among collectors and fans of obscure psychedelic rock.
