Le groupe sur le disque comprend des parties d'harmonica de John Sebastian - et d'une certaine manière, l'album est un peu comme certains de ses propres disques après avoir quitté Lovin Spoonful - un matériau plus personnel et terre à terre, mais assemblé avec un son très fort globalement.

A great early solo effort from John Hall – an artist with roots in the New York folk scene, and later fame as a member of Orleans – but very much his own person on this early 70s set! The group on the record features some harmonica from John Sebastian – and in a way, the album’s a bit like some of his own records after leaving Lovin Spoonful – material that’s maybe more personal and down to earth, but put together with a very strong sound overall.

Released in 1979, Action is a solo album by John Hall, former member of Orleans. The record features a blend of classic and soft rock typical of the late ’70s, with catchy melodies and polished arrangements. John Hall showcases his skills as a songwriter and guitarist, supported by seasoned musicians, resulting in a balanced mix of energy and finesse.

Issued by Parlophone in 1971, it was the only album by the group that had evolved from the ashes of legendary band Locomotive by Bass player Mick Hincks and drummer Bob Lamb. Joined by keyboard player Keith Millar and guitarist John Caswell, the group recorded this album for EMI Records in 1970.

Child is the ultra rare debut album by keyboard-heavy late 60's US acid rock band child. It includes a fierce lengthy version of Isaac Hayes' "Hold On, I'm Comin". Similar to Vanilla Fudge and on the heavier side of late 60s US rock.In August of 69, Bob Gryziek left the Buoys, and became Child's new bassist.

Carp - Carp (1970)

Carp is known not so much for its music as it is for being the launching pad for the career of fledglingactor Gary Busey. Singer/drummer Busey formed the group in the spring of 1966 with fellow Oklahoma State University students Ron Getman on guitar, John Crowder on bass, and Glen Mitchell on piano. After relocating to Los Angeles, Carp signed with Epic to record a self-titled 1969 album rooted equally in rock, blues, and country, and the band soon dissolved. 

While Getman, Crowder, and Mitchell continued collaborating as session musicians behind Loudon Wainwright III and Janis Ian, Busey pursued a career as an actor, although he continued playing drums under the alias Teddy Jack Eddy, backing artists including Kris Kristofferson and Leon Russell.

Carp est connu non pas pour sa musique, mais pour être le tremplin de la carrière de l'acteur Gary Busey. Ticket - Awake (1972)

During the period of 1972, Ticket were New Zealand's ultimate acid band.Guitarist Eddie Hansen emerged on the music scene in a group called Revival, which also contained vocalist Craig Scott. When Craig went solo in April 1970, the Revival broke up. At that point Eddie left Christchurch and headed to Auckland. He accepted a gig with Challenge, who were in their last days, after having had a couple of successful hits. He quickly realised that he shared a common interest in the styles of music of the likes of Crazy Horse, Traffic and Jimi Hendrix, with Challenge drummer Ricky Ball. The two of them decided to form their own group, in order to be able to play their preferred style of music.

Au cours de la période de 1972, Ticket était l'ultime groupe d'acid rock néo-zélandais. Le guitariste Eddie Hansen a émergé sur la scène musicale dans un groupe appelé Revival, qui comprenait également le chanteur Craig Scott. This little known quartet's minor claim to fame is that the lineup included Mickey Rooney, Jr., son of the well-known actor. Produced by Curt Boettcher and released in 1970, "Album" features a sound reminiscent of Badfinger. Shortcomings aside, one can only wonder how the band would have progressed had there been a followup album. Unfortunately, Song was over within a year of the album's release. 

La prétention mineure de ce quatuor peu connu, Song, est que Mickey Rooney, Jr., est bien le fils de l'acteur célèbre. Produit par Curt Boettcher et sorti en 1970, "Album" présente un son qui rappelle celui de Badfinger. Mis à part les lacunes, on ne peut que se demander comment le groupe aurait progressé s'il y avait eu un album supplémentaire. Malheureusement, Song a disparu dans l'année de la sortie de l'album.

Burning Tree - Burning Tree (1990)

Burning Tree was an American hard rock/blues rock power trio from Los Angeles, California. The band performed from the late 1980s to 1990. The band was started in 1987, by the guitarist Marc Ford and drummer Doni Gray, and were soon joined by bassist Mark "Muddy" Dutton to complete the three piece, but not before trying half a dozen bass players, including Jay Bentley from Bad Religion. Gray and Dutton had already been playing the local Los Angeles scene in a band called The March, and started an interest playing in a band called Citadel.

Silverhead est un groupe britannique formé en 1972 autour du chanteur charismatique Michael Des Barres, comédien et rockeur flamboyant. Ce premier album éponyme reflète l’esprit du glam rock naissant, teinté de hard rock et d'une certaine décadence très "seventies". Produit par Martin Birch, futur collaborateur d'Iron Maiden et Deep Purple, Silverheadincarne un rock brut et énergique. Bien que le groupe ne rencontre qu’un succès modeste, il laissera une trace durable dans l’histoire du glam rock par sa fougue scénique et son style exubérant.

Michael Des Barres avait beau chanter à gorge déployée, dévaliser les boutiques de mode et utiliser tous ses talents de comédiens pour faire chavirer les foules et les cœurs, Silverhead dû jeter l’éponge après seulement deux années d’existence, lâché par leur management et leur label (qui ne faisaient qu’un).

Restent deux albums studio attachants, “Silverhead” (1972, produit par Martin Birch), “16 And Savaged” (1973, avec Robbie Blunt à la guitare, futur accompagnateur de Robert Plant) et un live brut de chez brut enregistré au Rainbow de Londres en première partie de Nazareth, sorti deux ans après la dissolution du groupe, et exclusivement au Japon, où Des Barres et sa bande ont laissé un souvenir ému.

Their self-titled debut, produced by Martin Birch, blends gritty hard rock with sleazy glam energy. Though not a commercial hit, the album gained cult status for its raw sound and theatrical flair. Silverhead captured the reckless, hedonistic spirit of the early ‘70s, paving the way for later glam and punk rock acts.

Michael Des Barres could sing loudly, rob fashion stores and use all his talents as actors to capsize the crowds and hearts - his filmograhy is significantly more than his discography ... - Silverhead had to throw in the towel after only two years of existence, let loose by their management and their label (which were only one).

There are two endearing studio albums, "Silverhead" (1972, produced by Martin Birch), "16 And Savaged" (1973, with Robbie Blunt on guitar, future accompanist of Robert Plant) and a raw gross live recorded at Rainbow. London in first part of Nazareth, released two years after the dissolution of the group, and exclusively in Japan, where Des Barres and his band left a moving memory.
