Originaire de New York, Haystacks Balboa est un groupe éphémère de hard rock progressif formé à la fin des années 60. Leur unique album, sorti en 1970, est un véritable concentré d’énergie brute, marqué par des orgues Hammond tonitruants, des guitares puissantes et une voix rauque très expressive. Formed in New York City, Haystacks Balboa released their only album in 1970, a stormy blend of progressive hard rock, heavy psych, and organ-driven jams. With influences ranging from Vanilla Fudge to Deep Purple, their sound is rich in Hammond organ swells, fuzzy guitars, and soulful, gritty vocals. Though the band faded quickly into obscurity, their self-titled LP has gained cult status among collectors of early heavy rock, appreciated for its raw power and musical ambition.
