Publié en novembre 1969, Monster est le quatrième album studio de Steppenwolf, et le plus engagé politiquement. La pièce maîtresse, Monster/Suicide/America, longue fresque en trois parties, en est l’illustration parfaite. Released in November 1969, Monster is Steppenwolf’s fourth studio album and their most politically charged work. Amid the Vietnam War and rising social unrest, the band delivers a bold critique of American society, particularly in the epic three-part suite Monster/Suicide/America. With heavy riffs, psychedelic organ lines, and confrontational lyrics, the album also features tracks like Draft Resister and Power Play.
More ambitious than previous releases, Monster showcases the band’s artistic growth and strong political stance.
