Originaire de Californie, Stack est un obscur groupe psychédélique qui n’a laissé qu’un seul album, Above All, autoproduit et tiré à très peu d'exemplaires à l’époque. Ce disque est aujourd’hui devenu culte parmi les collectionneurs de heavy-psych. On y trouve un mélange intense de blues rock lourd, de fuzz sauvage et d’accents acid-rock très typiques de la scène underground de la côte Ouest en cette fin des années 60. La guitare rugit, l’orgue plane, et le chant dégage une énergie brute. Un témoignage fascinant du son garage-psyché californien, sans concessions.

Stack, a short-lived Californian heavy psych outfit, released Above All in 1969 as their only album—an ultra-rare private pressing that has since gained cult status. The music is a ferocious blend of fuzz-drenched guitar, heavy blues-rock riffing, and raw, impassioned vocals. Rooted in the West Coast psychedelic scene, the band captures the gritty intensity of late-60s underground rock. Above All stands as a raw and fiery statement, now considered a lost gem of acid rock.
