A California-born band formed in the mid-60s, The Misunderstood is regarded as one of the pioneers of psychedelic rock. After making a name for themselves in Riverside, they moved to London in 1966, inspired by the British Invasion. Golden Glass, recorded in 1969 but released later, showcases the band’s shift toward a more psych-prog sound, blending dreamy guitars, bluesy undertones, and ambitious arrangements. Although their career was short-lived, their influence on the underground psychedelic scene remains significant.
