Sorti le 15 avril 1991, Brotherhood est le onzième album studio des Doobie Brothers et le dernier enregistré sous le label Capitol Records. Il marque également les dernières contributions du bassiste Tiran Porter et du batteur fondateur John Hartman au sein du groupe.

L'album présente une combinaison de compositions internes et de collaborations avec des auteurs externes, tels que Jerry Lynn Williams et Jim Peterik. Bien que Brotherhood n'ait pas connu un grand succès commercial, atteignant la 82e place du Billboard 200, le single "Dangerous" a atteint la 2e place du classement Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks.

Released on April 15, 1991, Brotherhood is the eleventh studio album by the Doobie Brothers and their final recording under Capitol Records. It also marks the last appearances of bassist Tiran Porter and founding drummer John Hartman with the band.

The album features a mix of internal compositions and collaborations with external songwriters, such as Jerry Lynn Williams and Jim Peterik. Although Brotherhood did not achieve significant commercial success, peaking at number 82 on the Billboard 200, the single "Dangerous" reached number 2 on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.
