Billion Dollar Babies est né après la séparation du groupe original d’Alice Cooper en 1975. Plusieurs membres de l'ancien Alice Cooper Group — Michael Bruce, Dennis Dunaway et Neal Smith — s'associent à Bob Dolin et Mike Marconi pour former ce projet. Battle Axe est leur unique album studio, sorti en 1977. L’album mélange hard rock théâtral, glam et influences du rock des années 70, reprenant une partie de l’esprit du Alice Cooper Band, mais sans parvenir à retrouver son succès commercial. L’ensemble reste néanmoins une curiosité appréciée des amateurs de classic rock.

Billion Dollar Babies was formed after the breakup of the original Alice Cooper group in 1975. Several members — Michael Bruce, Dennis Dunaway, and Neal Smith — teamed up with Bob Dolin and Mike Marconi to create this new project. Battle Axe (1977) is their only studio album. The record blends theatrical hard rock, glam, and 70s rock influences, capturing part of the original Alice Cooper Band’s spirit, though it failed to achieve significant commercial success. Nevertheless, it remains a collector’s item for classic rock fans.
