Avalon est un groupe canadien éphémère actif à la fin des années 70, auteur de ce rare album Voice Of Life paru en 1977 sur le label London Records. Le groupe propose un savant mélange de rock progressif et de rock mélodique, caractérisé par des claviers atmosphériques, des guitares soignées et des compositions ambitieuses, notamment la longue pièce « Maranatha » qui clôt l’album. Malgré sa discrétion commerciale, Voice Of Life est devenu un disque culte recherché par les amateurs de rock progressif obscur des années 70.

Avalon was a short-lived Canadian progressive rock band who released Voice Of Life in 1977 on London Records. The album showcases an elaborate blend of melodic and progressive rock, with atmospheric keyboards, refined guitar work and ambitious songwriting, particularly the epic closing track "Maranatha." Although it remained under the radar commercially, Voice Of Life has become a cult favorite among collectors of obscure 70s progressive rock.
