They are five in the early seventies, the great time of southern rock, two pistoleros on guitar, Rusty Burns and Kim Davis, a little tingy Phil Petty on bass, a singer, John O'Daniel. As early as 1972, they toured with Johnny Winter, ZZ Top, all Texan bands sending electric blues. They have the same management as the bearded ones, which will quickly pose a problem, because ZZ Top will be promoted, and Point Blank a little forgotten. The sound of the band is two guitars that cross, provoke, struggle, and then the voice well blues, well southern O'Daniel, the man who swallows the rocks and thorns of cactus Texas pushing them with big swigs of bourbon.

Le son du groupe, c'est deux guitares qui se croisent, se provoquent, se démènent, et puis la voix bien blues, bien sudiste de O'Daniel, l'homme qui s'avale les rocailles et les épines de cactus du Texas en les poussant à grandes lampées de bourbon.
