Sorti le 22 mars 1974, On the Border est le troisième album studio des Eagles. Initialement produit par Glyn Johns à Londres, le groupe a souhaité s'orienter vers un son plus rock, s'éloignant de leurs racines country-rock. Ils ont donc fait appel à Bill Szymczyk pour produire la majorité de l'album. C'est également le premier album à inclure le guitariste Don Felder, qui a été invité à jouer sur deux morceaux avant de devenir membre officiel du groupe. L'album a atteint la 17e place du Billboard 200 et s'est vendu à plus de deux millions d'exemplaires.

Released on March 22, 1974, On the Border is the Eagles' third studio album. Initially produced by Glyn Johns in London, the band sought a more rock-oriented sound, moving away from their country-rock roots. They enlisted Bill Szymczyk to produce the majority of the album. This album also marks the debut of guitarist Don Felder, who was invited to play on two tracks before becoming an official member. The album reached number 17 on the Billboard 200 and sold over two million copies.
