🇺🇸 Biography (English)

The Hook were a short-lived psychedelic power trio from the sixties who made two albums in 1968 . Their guitar player Bobby Arlin was in the Leaves and his fuzz orientated style was the hallmark of the Leaves' signature tune "Hey Joe". The Hook Will Grab You was their first release and is a power trio format with a lot of similarities to Blue Cheer. Their second outing, Hooked, saw them with a new drummer and a keyboard player. Hooked sounds somewhat like Iron Butterfly, heavy but with a pop approach.

The Hook était un trio psychédélique de courte durée des années soixante qui a fait deux albums en 1968. Leur guitariste Bobby Arlin jouait avec les Leaves et son style orienté fuzz était la signature de la chanson des Leaves "Hey Joe". The Hook Will Grab You était leur première production et présentait beaucoup de similitudes avec Blue Cheer. Leur deuxième album, Hooked, a été enregistré avec un nouveau batteur et un joueur de clavier. Hooked sonne un peu comme Iron Butterfly, lourd mais avec une approche pop.
