Projet collectif initié par des membres de grands groupes funk/jazz-rock comme Santana, Sly & The Family Stone et War, Giants réunit en studio des musiciens renommés autour d’une énergie latine-funk percutante. Enregistré vers 1971 mais publié en 1978, l’album offre un cocktail dense de grooves organiques, de cuivres éclatants et de breaks électriques. Avec des titres comme « Attitude », « Kilimanjaro » et « Pancho Villa », ce disque incarne l’esprit jazz-funk festif et groovy des années 70, et figure comme une pépite recherchée des amateurs de rare groove.
