Muscle of Love was released in November 1973 as the final album by the original Alice Cooper band before the group disbanded. Unlike the grand theatrical concept albums that preceded it, this record returns to a grittier, more straightforward rock sound. Themes of adolescence, rebellion, and fantasy are still central, but the production leans toward a raw, live feel thanks to producers Jack Richardson and Jack Douglas. With standout tracks like "Teenage Lament '74" and "Hard Hearted Alice," the album delivers classic rock punch with attitude. Its packaging—designed as a cardboard shipping box—added a cheeky twist to its provocative image.
