Released in 1970, Marrying Maiden is the sophomore album by San Francisco’s psychedelic outfit It’s A Beautiful Day. While maintaining David LaFlamme’s signature violin-led soundscapes, the band evolved with a new lineup, including Tom Fowler and Fred Webb, adding a jazz-folk flavor to their dreamy rock blend. The album, more structured and melodic than their debut, retains a whimsical charm reflective of the Haight-Ashbury era.
