The year was 1971 and Elektra Records A&R man, producer, and artist, Marlin Greene, had flown to Portland to hear a promising new band. Marlin needed to sign an formation that brought along their own songs. Greg Branson, who was hosting Marlin’s visit to Portland, knew about two local kids fresh out of a highscool who actually did have their own songs. He quickly phoned Bill Lamb and Gary Ogan to ask if they were interested in auditioning for Eleckta Records. They sat and traded a few songs with Marlin, who was impressed enough to eventually sign them on to record their first album that he co-produced with Branson.

Ils se sont donc d茅plac茅s et ont 茅chang茅 quelques chansons avec Marlin, qui a 茅t茅 assez impressionn茅 pour finalement les signer et enregistrer leur premier album qu'il a coproduit avec Branson.
