Formé en 1965 par Stan Webb, Chicken Shack est l’un des piliers du British blues boom aux côtés de Fleetwood Mac et Savoy Brown. Après le départ de la chanteuse Christine Perfect (future McVie), le groupe prend un tournant plus rock et psychédélique tout en conservant ses racines blues. Accept, quatrième album du groupe, marque une évolution notable : les guitares se font plus agressives, les arrangements plus ambitieux et la voix de Webb prend une place centrale. Ce disque de 1970 témoigne de la transition stylistique de Chicken Shack vers un rock blues plus lourd, flirtant parfois avec des sonorités progressives.

Formed in 1965 by guitarist Stan Webb, Chicken Shack was part of the British blues explosion, alongside bands like Fleetwood Mac and Savoy Brown. After the departure of vocalist Christine Perfect, the band shifted toward a heavier, more guitar-driven blues rock. Accept (1970), their fourth album, captures this new direction with a rawer sound, denser arrangements, and Webb’s gritty vocals at the forefront. It's a transitional record that blends blues roots with proto-hard rock energy.
