A single album in studio and unrepresentative of the west coast the soil on which it sprouted. But what fireworks! Peter puts the blues-rock psyche ass overhead. One would think that Hendrix, though dead for two years when Black Kangaroo (1972), was exhumed from his tomb to play the ubiquitous guitar lines and hallucinated wha-howled solos. Such is the spirit of this fabulous record that is essential not only for those who tinker in the heavy psyche register, but for all passionate about good and real incandescent rock.

On croirait qu’Hendrix, pourtant mort depuis deux ans quand sort Black Kangaroo (1972), a été exhumé de son tombeau pour jouer les lignes omniprésentes de guitare et les hallucinés solos wha-whatés. Tel est l’esprit de ce disque fabuleux qui est incontournable non seulement pour qui bricole dans le registre heavy psyché, mais pour tout passionné de bon et vrai rock incandescent.
