String Driven Thing is a Scottish band of the 70's that could be called crypto progressive folk-rock. He was part of the Charisma stable with Genesis, Van Der Graaf Generator and Lindisfarne. The violin Grahame Smith (Van Der Graaf future) and the great compositions of Chris Adams are abrasive album, sometimes dissonant, but who through the years keeping an otherwise higher relevance than many successes of the time we has now hardly listen.

Il a fait partie de l'écurie Charisma avec Genesis, Van Der Graaf Generator et Lindisfarne. Le violon de Grahame Smith (futur Van Der Graaf) et les formidables compositions de Chris Adams font un album abrasif, parfois dissonant, mais qui a traversé les années en conservant une pertinence autrement plus forte que bien des succès de l'époque qu'on a désormais peine à réécouter.
