Cinquième album studio (sixième disque au total) du groupe, Win, Lose or Draw est sorti le 22 août 1975 sur Capricorn Records. Produit par Johnny Sandlin et le groupe, il marque un tournant : tensions internes, projet de Gregg Allman à Los Angeles et dualité Betts vs Allman ont retardé l’enregistrement entre février et juillet 1975. Dernier album avec Lamar Williams (basse) et Chuck Leavell (claviers), il atteint la 5ᵉ place du Billboard 200. Malgré un accueil contrasté – notamment des regrets exprimés par les membres – il contient des titres forts : "Can’t Lose What You Never Had", "High Falls" et la ballade titre.

The Allman Brothers Band's fifth studio album (sixth overall), Win, Lose or Draw was released on August 22, 1975 via Capricorn Records. Produced by Johnny Sandlin and the band, it reflects internal tensions, Gregg Allman’s move to Los Angeles, and the Betts–Allman rivalry that delayed sessions from February to July 1975. The final album featuring Lamar Williams and Chuck Leavellreached No. 5 on the Billboard 200 . Though met with mixed reactions—including band regrets—it delivers standout tracks: "Can’t Lose What You Never Had", "High Falls", and the title ballad.
