Formé en 1961 à St Albans, en Angleterre, The Zombies est un groupe emblématique de la British Invasion. Composé de Rod Argent (claviers), Colin Blunstone (chant), Paul Atkinson (guitare), Chris White (basse) et Hugh Grundy (batterie), le groupe s'est rapidement distingué par son mélange unique de pop baroque, de jazz et de rock psychédélique. Leur premier single, "She's Not There", a connu un succès international en 1964, atteignant la 2e place aux États-Unis. Après plusieurs singles à succès, ils ont sorti en 1968 l'album Odessey and Oracle, considéré comme un chef-d'œuvre du rock psychédélique, notamment grâce au titre "Time of the Season". Bien que le groupe se soit initialement séparé peu après la sortie de cet album, leur musique a continué à influencer de nombreux artistes et à captiver de nouveaux fans. En 2019, The Zombies ont été intronisés au Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Formed in 1961 in St Albans, England, The Zombies are a seminal band of the British Invasion era. Consisting of Rod Argent (keyboards), Colin Blunstone (vocals), Paul Atkinson (guitar), Chris White (bass), and Hugh Grundy (drums), the group quickly stood out with their unique blend of baroque pop, jazz, and psychedelic rock. Their debut single, "She's Not There," achieved international success in 1964, reaching No. 2 in the U.S. Following several hit singles, they released Odessey and Oracle in 1968, now regarded as a psychedelic rock masterpiece, featuring the hit "Time of the Season."Although the band initially disbanded shortly after the album's release, their music continued to influence many artists and attract new fans. In 2019, The Zombies were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
