Alex Taylor, older brother of James, Livingston, and Kate Taylor, was a low-profile figure in the southern rock and blues scene of the early '70s. His debut album With Friends and Neighbors, released in 1971 on Capricorn Records, brought together talented musicians from the Macon, Georgia scene. Taylor’s warm voice, blending soul, blues, and country, gives the album a laid-back, deeply authentic vibe. Produced by Johnny Sandlin, it fits seamlessly into the emerging southern rock movement.
