The little guitar lick nothing transcendent but its association with a smooth orchestration makes you die deeply endearing, one feels sometimes in South America, now on a Caribbean island but always on the same beautiful beach synonymous coolness. It is undeniable, this song has a strong hypnotic power. Magnificent ! Each album title on the beach is an apology to smooth! Consider this the twilight atmosphere of 'Passing Through' his quiet piano, her terrible guitar solo. And what of the splendid 'Little Blonde Plaits' beautiful and ethereal? Le petit lick de guitare n'a rien de transcendant mais son association avec une orchestration plus smooth tu meurs la rend profondément attachante, on se croit tantôt en Amérique du Sud, tantôt sur une ile des Caraïbes mais toujours sur la même superbe plage synonyme de coolitude. C'est indéniable, cette chanson a un fort pouvoir hypnotique. Magnifique !
Chaque titre de l'album sur la plage est une apologie au smooth ! Voyez plutôt l'ambiance crépusculaire de 'Passing Through' son piano tranquille, son solo de guitare terrible. Et que dire de la splendide 'Little Blond Plaits', ravissante et éthérée ? 'Hello Friends' est toujours taillée dans cette même veine, des nappes de synthé légères, une guitare qui flotte entre reverb et delay, toujours claire et pas ramenarde pour un sou, mais si efficace, et la voix romantique de Chris, tellement à l'aise sur ses bluettes sentimentales !
