Billy Cox 's Nitro Function - Nitro Function (1971)

A group essentially built on the then any fresh famous Billy Cox (bassist Jimi Hendrix Band Of Gypsy in his time) that produces music in a very psychedelic mind busy fuzz pedal. In reality the true source of inspiration of the group is more on the side of the singer guitarist Charlotte 'Char' Vinnedge ex Luv'd Ones (a group of female garage / psyche of the mid 60's). In 1971, Billy Cox met Char Vinnedge and, with Robert 'Tarp' Tarrant, completely unknown at this time, on drums, he formed a trio of classic Rock. Char was kind of obsessed guitarist Jimi Hendrix, which plunged in flamboyant and fabulous solos with feesdback by one, par- there. Even if she had not the level of Jimi, it was still a kind of 'flingueuse the six strings'. It was mostly a specialist fuzz-box / feedback before his time, so that Billy put his hand on the right woman for the job. The album "Nitro Function" is the outcome of this musical union. This is actually a tribute to Hendrix and Char is advertised on record as 'The Electric Lady'.

Un groupe essentiellement construit sur la renommée alors toute fraiche de Billy Cox (le bassiste de Jimi Hendrix dans sa période Band Of Gypsy) qui produit une musique dans un esprit très psychédélique bien chargée en pédale fuzz. En réalité la véritable source d’inspiration du groupe se situe davantage du coté de la chanteuse guitariste Charlotte 'Char' Vinnedge ex Luv'd Ones (un groupe féminin de garage/psyché du milieu des 60’s). En 1971, Billy Cox rencontre Char Vinnedge et, avec Robert 'Tarp' Tarrant, totalement inconnu à cette époque, à la batterie, il monte un trio classique de Rock. Char était une sorte de guitariste obsédée par Jimi Hendrix, qui plongeait dans de flamboyants et fabuleux solos avec du feesdback par-ci, par- là. Même si elle n'avait pas le niveau de Jimi, elle était malgré tout une sorte de 'flingueuse à la six cordes'. C'était surtout une spécialiste de la fuzz-box/feedback avant son temps, de sorte que Billy mit la main sur la femme idéale pour le job.
L'album "Nitro Function" est le résultat de cette union musicale. C'est en fait un hommage à Hendrix et Char est annoncée sur le disque comme 'The Electric Lady'.
