Une voix extraordinaire qu’elle utilise dans un registre principalement bluesy. Ce qui, comme d’autres avant elle, l’a amené à être comparée à la grande Janis Joplin. C’est d’ailleurs dans ce rôle que Beth Hart a participé à Broadway, à la fin des années quatre-vingt dix, à une comédie musicale consacrée à la jeune hippie trop tôt disparue. Depuis 1996, avec son groupe, elle a réalisé quelques albums, et a notamment collaboré avec Slash (ex-Guns’n’Roses, Velvet Revolver) ou encore le prodigieux Joe Bonamassa pour deux titres sur l’album Dust bowl sorti en 2011. Leur première collaboration ayant très bien fonctionné, Beth Hart et Joe Bonamassa s’étaient dit qu’il leur faudrait un jour accorder leur calendrier respectif afin de réaliser un disque en commun.
