This training ephemeral psychedelic pop band was formed in Edinburgh in the late 60s with Gillies Buchan (guitar / vocals), Edward Jones (bass / vocals), David McNiven (clarinet) and John Romsey (drums), the group was originally known as the Skin, but never recorded as such. Human Beast sign with Decca Records in 1970 and debuted with this Volume One. Although it sold poorly at the time, he was later the subject of interest of collectors. In common with other progressive groups of the time, their music incorporated an element of experimentation with oriental melodies and original rhythms, as on the title 'Maybe Someday'. However, the band never recorded again and disappeared from the music industry in the future.
