Fanny Adams - Fanny Adams (1971)

Fanny Adams is a group formed in Australia during 1970 around Vince Melouney and Doug Parkinson, the former singer of Focus. They recorded one album and then separated the following year. The album Fanny Adams offers a sharp progressive rock and blues-was published in 1971, a year after the breakup of the group in December 1970. The catalyst separation was essentially excess internal strife . Doug Parkinson assured "in three weeks, Fanny Adams will be the best band that ever walked this earth" but the expected success never happened particularly because of a fire at Caesar's Palace nightclub that destroyed all records. Parkinson left the label that was so bitter that any new recording was stopped for 2 years.

Fanny Adams est un groupe formé en Australie pendant l'année 1970 autour de Vince Melouney et de Doug Parkinson, l'ex chanteur de Focus. Ils enregistrèrent un seul album puis se séparèrent l'année suivante. L'album Fanny Adams propose un blues- rock progressif tranchant et n'a été publié qu'en 1971, soit  un an après l'éclatement du groupe en décembre 1970. Le catalyseur de la séparation a été essentiellement l'excès de dissensions internes. Doug Parkinson avait assuré : "dans trois semaines, Fanny Adams sera le meilleur groupe qui ait jamais foulé cette terre" mais le succès escompté n'est jamais arrivé notamment en raison d'un un incendie au Caesar's Palace discothèque qui détruisit tous les enregistrements. Parkinson quitta le label qui en fut si amer que tout nouvel enregistrement fut empêché pendant 2 ans.
