Cheap Trick - Bang, Zoom, Crazy ... Hello (2016)

Cheap Trick returns to a classic rock, and that's fine! This slightly modified training remains a real rock n'roll group and always fun. You feel it with downright Bowien 'When I Wake Up', which keeps the key mid-tempo hard in the outside or walk through the very Kissien 'Do You Believe'. What about the retro 'Blood Red Lips' if we want to sing, clap before such a hit in power. And it continues with "Long Time No See Ya 'and his very Estonian riff. Take it 'All Strung Out' that sounds very glam period T Rex, Roxy Music. The arrangement could well evolve into something more hard rock or pop over to stay and it always remain a good song where you stomp. So much so that at the end of 11 tracks, allow all in replay mode, again and again. It is as if this album was a classic as it seems we have already supported for years. It is not for nothing that the group is among the most respected hard rock peers (and most unjustly ignored in France).

Cheap Trick revient à un rock très classique, et c'est très bien ainsi ! Cette formation légèrement modifiée reste un vrai groupe de rock n’roll et s’amuse toujours. On le ressent avec le carrément Bowien 'When I Wake Up' qui conserve cette touche hard mid-tempo sous des dehors de balade ou encore à travers le très Kissien 'Do You Believe'. Que dire avec le rétro 'Blood Red Lips' sinon qu’on a envie de chanter, applaudir devant un tel hit en puissance. Et ça continue avec un 'Long Time No See Ya' et son riff très Estonien. Prenez ce dernier 'All Strung Out' qui sonne très glam période T Rex, Roxy Music. L’arrangement pourrait très bien évoluer vers quelque chose de plus hard rock ou rester plus pop et ça resterait toujours une bonne chanson où l’on tape du pied. Tant et si bien qu’au bout de 11 titres, on laisse tout ça en mode replay, encore et encore. C’est comme si cet album avait été un classique tant il paraît nous avoir déjà accompagné depuis des années. Ce n’est pas pour rien que le groupe est parmi les plus respecté de ses pairs du hard rock (et le plus injustement ignoré en France).
