Formed by John Du Cann, Andromeda is an English band of progressive psyche. Find the original of their debut album is a treasure hunt but fortunately the reissue to discover this great record. The pieces on offer are rather long and focused on excellent game of the guitarist. The bass line also stands out and reveals excellent throughout the album. The best track is probably "Day Of The Change" with inspired solos and a great vocal performance of singer John Du Cann. After this album, John Du Cann form the Atomic Rooster group while bassist Mick Hawksworth form Fuzzy Duck.
Formé par John Du Cann, Andromeda est un groupe anglais de psyché progressif. Trouver l’original de leur premier album est une véritable chasse au trésor mais heureusement la réédition permet de découvrir ce très bon disque. Les morceaux proposés sont plutôt long et axés sur l’excellent jeu du guitariste. La ligne de basse sort également du lot et se révèle excellente tout au long de l’album. Le meilleur titre est probablement « Day Of The Change » avec des solos inspirés et une grande performance vocale du chanteur John Du Cann. Après cet album, John Du Cann formera le groupe Atomic Rooster tandis que le bassiste Mick Hawksworth formera Fuzzy Duck.
