Octopus were an English band resulting from the renaming of a Hatfield (UK) based band named the Cortinas in late 1968. At the time of the renaming the group consisted of founder members Paul Griggs and his brother Nigel Griggs, Rick Williams and Nigel (Gary) Whinyates.
Octopus était un groupe anglais résultant du changement de nom d'un groupe basé à Hatfield (UK) appelé les Cortinas à la fin de 1968. Au moment du changement de nom, le groupe se composait des membres fondateurs Paul Griggs et son frère Nigel Griggs, Rick Williams et Nigel (Gary) Whinyates.
