🇺🇸 Biography (English)

In the beginning there was a band called The Misunderstood. Hailed in the late sixties as pioneers of the psychedelic movement by the likes of Pink Floyd, their cause had been championed by John Peel who discovered them whilst he was working as a DJ in the US. He was so impressed by them that he produced their first recordings in 1966 and invited them to come to the UK, an offer they later followed. However, problems with UK immigration services caused personnel problems. Juicy Lucy was born out of their final line up in July 1969.

Acclamé à la fin des années soixante comme pionnier du mouvement psychédélique par Pink Floyd, leur cause avait été défendue par John Peel qui les avait découvert alors qu'il travaillait comme DJ aux États-Unis. Il a été tellement impressionné par eux qu'il a produit leurs premiers enregistrements en 1966 et les a invités à venir au Royaume-Uni, une offre qu'ils ont ensuite suivie. Cependant, les problèmes avec les services d'immigration britanniques ont causé des problèmes de personnel. Juicy Lucy est née de leur dernière formation en juillet 1969.
