🎸 Wishbone Ash - Wishbone Ash (1970)

In 1970 Wishbone Ash released their self titled first record, establishing a mixture of Blues-Rock, Jazz and English Folk, that the band would elaborate on in their following records. The production work by Martin Birch was excellent and the record contains the masterpiece 'Phoenix', that would become a 'Wishbone Ash' live classic and give way to elaborate improvisations on stage. At the same time the band would start to use lyrics and imagery drawn from mythology and fantasy.

En 1970, Wishbone Ash publie son premier disque autoproduit, établissant un mélange de Blues-Rock, de Jazz et de Folk anglais, que le groupe développera dans ses disques suivants. Le travail de production de Martin Birch a été excellent et le disque contient le chef-d'œuvre 'Phoenix', qui deviendra un classique live 'Wishbone Ash' et laissera la place à des improvisations élaborées sur scène. En même temps, le groupe commencerait à utiliser des paroles et des images tirées de la mythologie et de la fantaisie.
