Nazz (1968) is the self-titled debut by the American band led by Todd Rundgren. A brilliant mix of British Invasion pop, garage energy, and psychedelic flourishes, the album is most noted for the Rundgren-penned tracks Open My Eyes and Hello It's Me—the latter later becoming a hit in his solo career. With lush harmonies and inventive arrangements, Nazzlaid the groundwork for the power pop sound that would emerge more clearly in the early ’70s.
