Sara Watkins debuted in 1989 as a violinist in the band Nickel Creek with his brother Sean. After five successful albums recorded with Nickel Creek, Watkins then pursued a solo career and released his first album, Sara Watkins, produced by John Paul Jones in April 2009. His second solo album was released in May 2012, this time with the participation Fiona Apple and Jackson Browne. It delivers here his most successful album, full of delicate and subtle compositions, complex but discrete arrangements, where the instrumentation is very precisely controlled in order to enhance the voice of Sara, sometimes rock, sometimes bluesy, always warm and cuddly , an unstoppable seduction ...

Sara Watkins a fait ses débuts en 1989 comme violoniste dans le groupe Nickel Creek en compagnie de son frère Sean. Après cinq albums à succès enregistrés avec Nickel Creek, Watkins poursuit ensuite une carrière en solo et sort un premier album, intitulé Sara Watkins, produit par John Paul Jones en avril 2009. Son deuxième album solo sort en mai 2012, avec cette fois la participation de Fiona Apple et Jackson Browne. Elle délivre ici son opus le plus abouti, riche de compositions délicates et subtiles, aux arrangements complexes mais discrets, où l'instrumentation est très justement maîtrisée pour pouvoir mettre en valeur la voix de Sara, parfois rock, parfois bluesy, toujours chaude et câline, d'une séduction imparable...
