Skid Row - Skid Row (1989)

1989. A band of furious raged guys out from nowhere swung this  supercharged bomb at the beginning of the year. Launched by some Bon Jovi, Skid Row are more vindictive as their mentor. From the first track, 'Big Guns', it sends it right. We filled our ears. The singing of the young Sebastian Bach is powerful, the vocals on the chorus are enormous. Huge, it is also the word that comes to mind regarding his (Michael Wagener behind the console). No time to breathe as a tumbling the 'Sweet little sister monstrous. We feel that the influences are found on the side of heavy bands that glam bands. Then come the tubes '18 and Life 'and' I Remember You ', two powerful and melodic power-ballads and anthem' Youth Gone Wild '. From heavy 'Piece of Me' to speedy 'Makin a Mess', not a weakling piece.

Lancés par un certain Bon Jovi, les Skid Row sont bien plus vindicatifs que leur mentor. Dès le premier morceau, 'Big Guns', ça envoie comme il faut. On en prend plein les écoutilles. Le chant du tout jeune Sebastian Bach est puissant, les choeurs sur le refrain sont énormes. Enorme, c'est aussi le mot qui vient à l'esprit en ce qui concerne le son (Michael Wagener derrière la console). Pas le temps de respirer que déboule un 'Sweet little sister' monstrueux. On sent que les influences sont plus à chercher du côté des groupes de heavy que des groupes de glam. Puis arrivent les tubes '18 and Life' et 'I Remember You', deux power-ballades puissantes et mélodiques et l'hymne 'Youth Gone Wild'. Du heavy 'Piece of Me' au speedé 'Makin a Mess', pas un morceau faiblard.
