Stephen Stills is a living legend of American music that began in the sixties with Buffalo Springfield before writing some of the most beautiful pages in the history of rock with Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young over the following decades. It is found here backed by the singer and guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd and the famous keyboard of the Chicago blues scene Barry Goldberg to resume with gusto, their sauce, classic Muddy Waters ( 'Honey Bee'), Elmore James ( 'Talk To me Baby'), Neil Young ('Rockin 'In The Free World') or Iggy Pop & The Stooges ('Search and Destroy'). Stock selection was a natural on the basis of organic pieces that do not sound dated at all but extremely modern and muscular! Although separated by age, their passion for the blues has operated a real chemistry in the studio and has truly transcended them! Some connections only to LA EastWest Studios on Sunset Boulevard and magic did the rest.
Stephen Stills est une légende vivante de la musique américaine qui débuta dans les sixties avec Buffalo Springfield avant d'écrire quelques unes des plus belles pages de l'histoire du rock avec Crosby, Stills & Nash au cours des décennies suivantes.
On le retrouve ici épaulé par le guitariste chanteur Kenny Wayne Shepherd et par le fameux clavier de la scène blues de Chicago Barry Goldberg pour reprendre avec brio, à leur sauce, des classiques de Muddy Waters ("Honey Bee"), Elmore James ("Talk To Me Baby"), Neil Young ("Rockin' In The Free World") ou encore Iggy Pop & The Stooges ("Search and Destroy"). Le choix des titres s'est fait naturellement sur la base de morceaux organiques qui ne sonnent pas du tout datés mais terriblement modernes et musclés ! Bien que séparés par l'âge, leur passion du blues a opéré une véritable alchimie en studio et les a véritablement transcendés ! Quelques prises seulement aux EastWest Studios de LA sur Sunset Boulevard et la magie a fait le reste.
