Alamo - Alamo (1971)

Hard Rock typically U.S early 70's with keyboard and sharp guitars. Unique self-produced album of this band from San Antonio, playing in a rough kind of hard rock, with a touch of southern rock, with great Hammond organ reinforcements and crunchies guitars, sometimes slightly fuzzies, furious. The singer-organist and composer, has a husky timbre, scratchy, barely nasal, and his singing often takes a dragging pace or nagging. The organ plays often in unison with the guitar, like Uriah Heep, Deep Purple and Steppenwolf. Rhythmics are sealed.

Unique album autoproduit de ce groupe de San Antonio, jouant dans un genre de hard rock rugueux, mâtiné de southern rock, à grands renforts d'orgue Hammond et de guitares crunchies, parfois légèrement fuzzies, rageuses. Le chanteur-organiste, et compositeur, a un timbre rauque, éraillé, à peine nasillard, et son chant prend souvent un rythme traînant, voire lancinant. L'orgue joue souvent à l'unisson avec la guitare, à la manière d'Uriah Heep, de Deep Purple ou de Steppenwolf. Les rythmiques sont plombées.
