Last Time Around, released in July 1968, marked the swan song of Buffalo Springfield. By the time it hit the shelves, the band had already split up. The album is a patchwork of individual efforts rather than a cohesive group work, with Stills, Young, and Furay each contributing distinct compositions. Despite the internal turmoil, the record showcases strong songwriting, layered arrangements, and the emerging identities of its now-legendary members. It stands as both a farewell and a bridge to future acts like CSNY and Poco.
