The original HP Lovecraft was a band that was a very different from the other psychedelic bands of the time. Nobody sounded like them. After disbanding and drummer Michael working with the excellent Bangor Flying Circus, Edwards & Tegza reformed a version of HP Lovecraft with new members. They were outstanding and most people couldn't tell the difference in concert. When they signed to Reprise and began recording the new album, they decided to soldier on after dropping the HP from their name. Valley of the Moon doesn't sounds like the precedent HP Lovecraft albums.
L'original HP Lovecraft était un groupe qui était très différent des autres groupes psychédéliques de l'époque. Personne ne leur ressemblait. Après la dissolution et le batteur Michael travaillant avec l'excellent Bangor Flying Circus, Edwards & Tegza a réformé une version de HP Lovecraft avec de nouveaux membres. Ils étaient exceptionnels et la plupart des gens ne pouvaient pas faire la différence en concert. Quand ils ont signé à Reprise et ont commencé à enregistrer le nouvel album, ils ont décidé de poursuivre après avoir laissé tomber le HP de leur nom. Valley Of The Moon ne sonne pas comme leur précédente production.
