Nitzinger was a progressive blues band with a sound steeped in the Texas-Louisiana Delta-style. Mixing hard blues with softer acoustic styled ballads, this album showcases the versatility and the tight cohesiveness of the band.It was a great 1st album for this group. John Nitzinger struck out on his own after writing some songs for fellow Texan rockers Bloodrock and produced "Nitzinger" in 1972.
