Black Widow is a British progressive and occult rock band active mainly in the early 1970s. After a debut album heavily themed around satanic topics (Sacrifice, 1970), the band toned down its lyrical approach on this self-titled second album from 1971 while maintaining its dramatic and theatrical musical style. Their compositions blend progressive rock, psychedelic influences, and touches of jazz, featuring elaborate instrumental sections and a characteristic dark atmosphere.
