Originaire de Detroit, Third Power a émergé au tournant des années 70, proposant un savoureux mélange de hard rock psychédélique et de proto-heavy metal. Le trio mené par Drew Abbott (futur guitariste de Bob Seger) développe sur Believe une musique puissante, avec des riffs acérés, des harmonies vocales soignées et des passages instrumentaux parfois planants. Très ancré dans la scène rock underground du Michigan, le groupe n’a malheureusement sorti qu’un seul album avant de se dissoudre, laissant derrière lui un enregistrement devenu culte auprès des amateurs de rock psyché et heavy 70s.

Hailing from Detroit, Third Power emerged at the dawn of the 1970s, delivering a rich blend of psychedelic hard rock and proto-heavy metal. Fronted by guitarist Drew Abbott (later with Bob Seger), Believe features sharp riffs, layered vocal harmonies, and occasional spacey instrumental passages. Firmly rooted in Michigan's underground rock scene, the band released only one album before splitting up, but left behind a cult classic cherished by fans of early heavy psych and 70s rock.
